Time to start the New Year of 2014 off with some Blogging, which I haven't had the time to do.  Presently we have our mobile up for sale, so my art time and my sewing time have been going in different directions, but I am about to get started back to sewing, in between working on some beading.

You can also find a lot of my "beading, quilting, life, etc. at Photo's by Jody on my Flickr  I am particularly amazed each time I go to flickr and see many of the projects that I have worked on through out the years.

Here are some of the things that I have been working on.  I will keep coming back to enter more information to get caught up on what all happened last year in 2013.  Takes time to download photo's and then to write....so forgive me for now that I am posting just photo's.

When I started this particular doll with beads I had no idea that it was going to be a "Day of the Dead Doll"...I tried to bead the face like a friend had beaded a face and decided right then that it needed to be a Day of the Dead Doll.

I really enjoy beading these Bendi dolls and have 3 on hand now, two of which are already painted with twinkling-h2os Note that the Bendi dolls can be hard to find, I found these last 3 on an Etsy shop.

We live in New Mexico not far from where all the tasty Chili peppers come from Hatch Chile festival is ...so what is when I thought why not bead some Chili Hearts with Chili's on them, voila

Latter part of last year I did a drawing class with http://www.strathmoreartist.com/ with Whimspirations-by-joanne-sharpe  I still need to complete an online class with Sharpe called my "Awesome Journal"

Last year we had a severe storm in our area and the Rio Grande River overflowed in some areas of New Mexico.  This photo was taken across the street from us on our neighbors property.  We were very lucky we did not have to evacuate.
